Life's Lottery
This is a piece I did recently which seems to fit with the theme. It's done with reproductions of one of my collection of cabinet photographs. I love the expression on this woman's face - uncertain but also rather hopeful. I wonder what she was thinking as she posed for her portrait.
Love this, makes me want to do some collage. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff. I love it.

ReplyDeleteI love repeated images its like extra emphasis saying "hey look again, you may have missed something"
ReplyDeleteLovely piece Fran.
This is beautiful - she looks like she could burst into a smile as well.
ReplyDeleteThe piece is put together so well - I love it.

This one is exceptionally fine. Life as frames of a film. I like it very much.
ReplyDeleteRegards, Neil
It's interesting, the way the color shift affects how I perceive her enigmatic expression -- the blue palette makes her seem more hesitant, the pinker palette more forthcoming.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully made, and very interesting.
Hi Fran lovely work what brilliant ideas you always have, Judy x
ReplyDeleteYou've described her expression perfectly. There is defintely that look of anticipation but also a bit of apprehension. I lov e what you did with it...sort of lining up the choices...and the title is just right. Well done:>
