Good Luck!

Look what arrived today! This is the prize I won in one of the giveaways over on the Gelli Arts blog. I am really looking forward to having a go at making some texture plates to use in my printing and playing with this cute little 6" gelli plate!

Also, check out the lovely card that Joan sent with my goodies. Yes, it's got metallic gold all over it. Heaven!

Just Playing

I recently joined Effy Wild's network on Ning and it has given me a bit of a kick start to keep up more with my journalling. It's a great group and whether you're a total novice or have been doing arty/crafty things for years you'll get a warm welcome and lots of encouragement (and who doesn't appreciate that?). One of the weekly journal prompts was all about patterning and this was my response to it. Lots of fun was had making this I can tell you!

Life, Or Something Like It

If I say 'Sims 2' I'm not sure how many of you will know what I'm talking about so for those who don't, very briefly, it's a computer game where you can play with virtual dolls (sort of) who can have quite complex family lives and environments which you create and direct. If you become a true obsessive you can also build your own Sims, the houses they live in, the sofas they sit on, the businesses they run. Then you can join an online community and share your creations with other similarly obsessed simmers!

Well, I've been building Sim houses for a long time but comparatively recently it occurred to me that I might like to see some of my own paintings on the walls. So I created some of those too and, just for fun, thought I'd show you how they look.

If you're interested in seeing more of my virtual world visit my page at MTS2 here.
