I just received this fantabulous piece of mail art from Sally yesterday. It felt like my birthday when it plopped onto the doormat, and I was delighted to see that the post office seem to have treated it with respect as it is in pristine condition! This lady is just such a talented artist, I feel really lucky to have something created by her! If you haven't visited her blog yet you are in for a treat, lots of inspiration and beautiful work. This is a piece of mail art I did for a swap with Lolly. We decided to use faux postage as part of the decoration process and this is what I came up with. The stamps are made from two pieces of my artwork which I tweaked digitally and resized. I thought they would fit well with the Oriental theme.

I've always been interested in mail art although I've never really created any myself. However the other day I happened upon Gillian Allen's great little PS tutorial on faux postage and decided to have a go. This is one of those things which is very addictive and I can't stop making postage stamps now. Must try and find a mail art swap...
