Thought I'd post this for you to see. It's made using lutrador, which is this cool spun synthetic 'fabric'. As you can see it takes acrylic paint quite happily. I added an image transfer as well, again takes very well. Finally I got the soldering iron onto it and did a bit of random burning to create a lacy effect.
The nice thing is it's stitchable, so that's what I'm going to do next.
This piece is SOOooooo cool! I wonder if I can get Lutrador anywhere out here...hmm...I love those bits of redish and the burning you did.

ReplyDeleteWow! Never heard of that but then again I'm just a paper and glue girl :) Is lutrador a kind of thick rice paper? Do you have a brand name or manufacturer for it? I would love to try it. Thank you so much for being so generous in your art. Amazing piece of work, as always!
