'The Sun Is God'

I have always been drawn to light and its effects. I love Turner, Caravaggio, Rembrandt and the amazing quality of light they infused their paintings with. Recently I've started trying to express some of what I feel about it in my paintings too. I think it could well take me a lifetime to even begin to capture it.

The quotation in the title is attributed to JMW Turner by the way. I read it many years ago and it has always stuck in my mind.
