I finally managed to get a new collage done! It's been New Windows week at chez Fran and boy did those guys leave a mess behind. But I now have much more light and windows I can open properly!
Anyway, this piece was inspired by the notion in some cultures that any painting or weaving should have a line or thread which runs from top to bottom and off the edge, thus preventing the artist's creativity being trapped in their work.

Ahh, I remember reading about this when I did some Navajo weaving. This is totally beautiful and I love it. I am enjoying seeing your watercolours as well.

beautiful collage reminds of an old time butterfly collection in the days when the victorians were avid collectors of all things nature...very nice composition
