Sampler No.2
Did I mention that my work room is a mess? Well, on one of my infrequent forays into tidying up I gathered together a large pile of what I can only describe as bits. These are leftovers from making collage pieces, tags etc. and because I'm such a pack rat I can't bear to throw them away. They are really too tiny to do anything with, or so I thought. But then I started thinking about the quilts I used to make out of scraps of fabric. These samplers are kind of an extension of my quilting and very satisfying to make. I might try a really big one!

This is fantastic!! I have to confess that I recently donated a huge bag of itty-bitty things which I had had great intentions of using, but... anyhow, my friend's daughter greatly appreciated it and has made some wonderful things with it, so at least it's not wasted! But I also know that I'd have never managed to turn out anything like you've done, even if I'd kept the bits LOL!

  3. Wow! I love this! I love quilting also and what a wonderful way to "quilt" a collage! I know about the cleaning desk thing. I made my "hats" collage randomly when I was cleaning it after a project I got frustrated with! The random/fun collages are indeed the most satisfying! This one is a gem!!!
