Things I learnt today: my DH's soldering iron is too hot for fusing fabric. Sad but true. As you can see from the picture it's done quite a bit of scorching rather than melting the organza layers, but I went ahead and did some embellishing with stitch anyway, as I haven't played with the sewing machine for a week or two.And now I have the perfect excuse to get myself a textile tool which I've been wanting for a while and which (hopefully) will be more controllable.
